How to prepare artwork for a custom product
A practical checklist for choosing artwork, contrast, placement, and product colors before ordering a custom ShadowLook design.

Use a clear, high-quality source
Start with the largest clean version of the artwork you own. Small screenshots and heavily compressed images can look soft when they are enlarged on a product.
Keep important details away from the outer edge of the design area. This gives the composition room to breathe and reduces the chance that essential text feels cramped.
Check contrast against the product color
A design that looks strong on a white canvas may disappear on a dark or saturated product. Preview every color you plan to offer and adjust the artwork when foreground and background tones are too similar.
- Read all text at the normal preview size.
- Check light artwork on light products and dark artwork on dark products.
- Keep faces, logos, and fine details inside the safe design area.
- Review the complete preview before adding the product to the cart.
Order only artwork you are allowed to use
Use your own work, licensed assets, or material you have permission to reproduce. Seller and marketplace policies still apply to custom products, including intellectual-property and prohibited-content rules.
